Broadcast message examplesRestock alerts
A restock message works best when it reaches people who already asked for that exact item. They've made up their mind; they just need to know it's back. A message that closes the sale says clearly which model is back, which colors or sizes, how many units, and how to reserve one. No need for a long product pitch like at launch.
Who to send to
Pick customers you labeled when they asked about a sold-out item, e.g. “Waiting-[product name]” or “Asked size M”. A restock alert is a sales message, so you can only send it to people in that group who messaged your Page in the last 24 hours. For customers who asked a while ago, post the restock on your Page first; those who message back join the group you can reach.
When to send
Send as soon as the stock arrives and you've counted it. No special time slot needed: people waiting for the item will reply on their own. If stock lands late at night, post on your Page first and broadcast late the next morning to those who messaged in. Don't send while the goods are still in transit: if a customer pays and you can't ship, you lose more trust than by waiting another day.

Restock alerts: tips that get results
- When a customer asks about a sold-out item, label them by model right away, e.g. “Waiting-[product name]”. On restock day you can send to exactly the right people instead of blasting the whole Page.
- State the real number of units. If the message says stock is limited but you're still selling it all week, customers won't believe your next restock alert.
- When you reply to someone asking about a sold-out item, tell them you'll announce the restock on your Page. If the stock arrives more than 24 hours later, you can't send them a sales message until they message you again.
- If not every color or size came in, say what's still missing in the message. It cuts down on chats asking the same question until your admins can't keep up.
- Say exactly what to type to reserve, e.g. “reserve” or “black M”. Customers reading in the chat can reply instantly without leaving for another page.
Before you send
Promotional messages can only go to customers who messaged your Page in the last 24 hours. See the details in the 24-hour rule. Customers outside that window can only receive non-promotional updates through Facebook-approved templates
FAQ: Restock alerts
- A customer asked about an item last week. Can I send them a restock broadcast?
- Not if they haven't messaged your Page in the last 24 hours. A restock alert invites a purchase, and utility templates can't carry sales content either. What you can do is post the restock on your Page or Story, or run a click-to-Messenger ad. Once the customer messages you, send them the details.
- Several models are back at once. Send one combined message or separate ones?
- If you already have a label per model, send to each group separately so customers only see the model they're waiting for. If you didn't label by model, combine everything into one list-style message with a group photo. Avoid sending the same customer several broadcasts in one day.
- Should I include the price in a restock message?
- Yes, especially if it differs from the last batch. Without it, your admins will answer price questions one chat at a time. If the price went up, say so plainly with a short reason, e.g. the new batch cost more. Customers who saw the old price won't feel it was changed behind their backs.
